I am closing on a home very soon. What is a HUD-1 Settlement Statement?

I already have the GFE and Truth in lending report.
Why exactly is this settlement statement vital to have one day in advance of closing?

The responder before me is right – the HUD-1 is the settlement sheet which itemizes out your closing costs. You will review and sign this form at settlement. Here's an explanation of the fees:
